Dr.-Ing. Venkatesh Naidu Nerella has over a decade of research and industrial experience in digital fabrication with cementitious materials and has contributed significantly to transferring research innovations into practice. He studied civil engineering at TU Dresden and completed his PhD in 2019 on printable concrete materials. From 2012 to 2020, he worked as a research associate and co‑developed the CONPrint3D® technology, earning the Cemex Förderpreis Beton Central Europe 2020 for his doctoral research.
Since 2021, he has led material development for in‑situ 3D concrete printing based on ready‑mixed concrete at Putzmeister Engineering GmbH. His expertise includes concrete pumping, rheology, sustainable construction materials, and digital material supervision. Dr. Nerella contributes to international standardization through RILEM technical committees and is active in German concrete associations, including the DAfStb subcommittee on digital additive construction.
